Questions and Answers
Does the drain basket fit in the top or bottom of the floor sink?

The basket or strainer fits in the bottom of the floor sink, this allows you to still be able to use the top safety grate that was supplied with the floor sink.

How do you measure for the size of the drain baskets to fit your floor sink?

For the 7 ¾” (standard size) drain baskets you can measure the inside of the floor sink at the top and the bottom. It should measure 9”x9” at the top and 8”x8” at the bottom. For the smaller floor sinks the measurements should be 7”x7” at the top and 6”x6” at the bottom.

You can download a template from our -Download Templates- link on the left side of our website.

How do I use the template?

Download the template to your computer and print out the template, then you can cut out the template and fit it to the bottom of the floor sink. There are 2 sizes of templates.

How do I know which model of drain basket to select?

You can use any of our drain basket models in any floor sink that you have. Most restaurants order the same model for all the floor sinks in the restaurant.

The DS-200 which is the 2” deep basket could be used under prep sinks and dishwashers. The DS-75 which is the ¾” deep basket could be used for drains with less waste, and the DS-50 drain strainer can be used for drains with liquid waste only such as under ice machines and soda machines.
